   FAQ, tips and tricks - PlexFlash II

  • Windows 98 SE does not recognise the PlexFlash when it is connected.

  • Windows 98 SE does not recognise the PlexFlash when it is connected.
    • Windows 98 SE only contains drivers for basic USB devices, to use the PlexFlash on Windows 98 SE you need to install an additional driver. This driver can be downloaded from the following link.

    The transfer of the data files is slow.

    • The PlexFlash has a USB 2.0 interface, If you are using a USB 1.1 interface to connect, the performance will be limited by the USB 1.1 interface limitation. To have the best performance of the PlexFlash we advice to connect it to a USB 2.0 interface.

    Why do I need the USB cable in the package?

    • The USB cable in the package is an Extension cord which can be used but isn't required. It is meant for people who only have USB connections at the back of their computer.

    A 'Write protected error' appears when copying to the PlexFlash.

    • At the left side of the PlexFlash you will find a "Write protection lock" switch. Make sure the switch is open before copying files to the PlexFlash.
