ASPI Layer for Windows 98/ME/NT
The DMA checkbox is greyed out
I have Windows 95/98 (first edition) and the external USB writer is recognised
ASPI Layer for Windows 98/ME/NT :
- Please verify that you are using the latest version of the ASPI layer. Upgrades for the ADAPTEC ASPI layer (WNASPI32.DLL) can be found on : http://www.adaptec.com.
The DMA checkbox is greyed out :
- Make sure you have installed the latest busmasterdrivers for your mainbord
I have Windows 95/98 (first edition) and the external USB writer is recognised :
- The Plextor USB CD writers require a USB1.1 interface as minimum to work (4X Write, 6X Read). The drivers to support this USB 1.1 are available starting from Windows 98 SE and greater.
- Plextor recommends to use his external USB devices with a USB 2.0 controller and Windows 98 SE or greater, this to become the full performance of the device.
